Deebot N79 — decent cleaning under voice control

If you are in between Deebot N79 vs Robovac 11, I would be glad to help you make a right decision starting with Deebot N79, which impressed me with its flawless scheduling function that allowed me to make my house tidy when I wasn’t at home. Cleaning started exactly in time and the device returned right on it's charging station after work completion. It’s a great timesaver.

Deebot N79 Pros & Cons

Pros

  • I have been surprised when I discovered that it has a brushless motor that has a longer lifespan compared to brushed ones, because of less moving parts
  • I controlled it via the APP-like I am used to doing with my other devices, also it gave me updates about its activity in time
  • It started cleaning after full charging, so I didn’t need to switch it one repeatedly

Cons

  • Carpet cleaning is its biggest problem. I can’t say that it massively stick there, but it misses dirt. It doesn't have power to extract sugar from fibers, barely picking up any and leaving it behind
  • It constantly bumped into my sofa and a wardrobe. Even during the third and the fourth cleaning it didn’t use to them, so I came to the conclusion that it had infrared anti-collision sensors, so it crashed into them because they are dark-blue and black, and changed direction
  • I needed to block access to corners because they were larger than it wedged there and stuck

Eufy Robovac 11 – silent cleaning with remote control

I have tried this model for the first time, so I was very excited, but a problem with my contrasting colors carpet became a stumbling block because a device saw it as an edge moved in another direction and didn’t go further. Thus, it was left undone.

Botvac D80 Pros & Cons

Pros

  • On my memory, it’s the quietest vacuum cleaner even in the max power mode. I even didn’t notice it when it was around me
  • Firstly, I couldn’t get why it stopped vacuuming and silently returned to a dock when the battery was low, but then understood that in such way it saved battery while it was looking for the station
  • I was afraid when I saw that it went through spilt tea in the kitchen, but everything was fine, it wasn’t damaged

Cons

  • It works until I send it charging, so how can I leave it along?
  • After it bumped into a table leg, the sensor covered lens became cloudy. Cleaning it didn’t help
  • The main and a side brush were tangled massively, that’s why I had to clean them by my own
