ECOVACS Deebot N79 – a bargain with decent features

I’m used to cleaning remotely while I’m at work, it saves time and the noise doesn’t disturb, so the APP, Wi-Fi connectivity, and scheduling came in handy.

However, there were cases when it lost the connection and wasn’t able to get to the charging station. In general, it’s always seeking for it for too long. Despite the low price it also includes a brush for a filter cleaning in the tool kit; also, cleaning up the trash bin isn’t a problem. It has a convenient form, low but wide, so it covers a broader territory at ones and does the cleaning faster.

PROS of Deebot N79:

  • It has clear sensors that prevent it from bumping into objects, even into the light or moving ones like my dog.
  • It isn’t heavy to carry, for example, to lift to the second floor.

CONS of Deebot N79:

  • The switch button is sensitive and placed on the top, so it’s easy to turn it on by chance.
  • I am not satisfied with its job on the carpet, it looks like it wasn’t meant to be used for carpets because it is constantly missing areas and doesn’t return to them; also the suction isn’t powerful enough to deal with the fluffy carpets.

ECOVACS Deebot N78 – a silent helper

Wheels were the first thing that grabbed my attention. The floating is so smooth on different surfaces and also, it’s used to coming over uneven surfaces like fluffy carpets, parquet and textured floors, so I’m not afraid that it gets stuck somewhere and beeps for help. It even has the edge cleaning mode that makes a profound cleaning of the edges. In addition, there are two other modes: for the general cleaning of the whole area and the spot cleaning when the vacuum cleaner defines the dirtiest places and pays more attention to it during the cleaning session.

PROS of Deebot N78:

  • It comes over the carpet brims without delays and sticking.
  • It suctions hair, fur, and threads right into the dustbin, so I don’t have a deal with tangled brushes (it has only side ones, there is no main one).

CONS of Deebot N78:

  • It has a nickel metal hydride battery, I don’t have problems with it now but approximately all modern powerful robot vacuums have the lithium-ion battery, which lasts longer.
  • It doesn’t have any virtual wall to keep it from going out one room or prevent from crossing the territory with wires.
