Smart robot vacuum Deebot N79

The Deebot N79 does a great job picking up pet hair and other dirt that has gotten down in your carpet. Deebot N79 did my floors super clean, it's super easy to direct it to the spot I want cleaning and let it do its thing. Two things caught my attention. One was the price. The other was this almost super quietness.

Deebot N79 Pros & Cons

Pros

  • I can barely hear it, so I can use it whenever I want and no one complains
  • It does a great job going around things and under the dining room chairs

Cons

  • The N79 does have a sensor to avoid bumping into things and does a good job with that on most objects. But very dark colored furniture legs will get bumped because sensors never work on very dark objects

Time to compare Neato Botvac D3

This robot has really impressed me. It runs a full hour before going back to the docking station to recharge. Interesting thing: I can control areas to be cleaned by shutting doors or using metal items to block off areas. Important to note that, this model is much cheaper than the top of the line Neato.

For checking this device I ran it in my carpeted basement, which is open and has no sectioned off rooms and it made perfectly straight lines all across the basement. It also handled our bedroom/master bath well, finishing each room before it started on the next.

Neato Botvac D3 Pros & Cons

Pros

  • It will go under most furniture and beds
  • I can program and monitor it with Neato App on a cell phone

Cons

  • It often loses its Wi-Fi and this is not okay, as when you buy «wireless» and «with no connectivity» device you count on these specs

Deebot N79 or Neato Botvac D3: who is the best cleaning superhero for your house

I was satisfied with both robot cleaners, which I have checked. Deebot N79 vs Neato Botvac D3 can be controlled through the Wi-Fi better without defaults and maps your room. As we compared Neato Botvac D3 vs ECOVACS Deebot N79 — Neato can get all the dirt out from really small areas better. Most of the time I use the remote for them as it is easy to use.

The Deebot N79 is very easy to empty and the trash bin can hold a lot for such a tiny vacuum, and the filters are easy to clean, they even provide you with a special tool to clean the filters and roller. Neato Botvac surprised me by how much the filter can hold.

I have brushes for Botvac that pick up dirt against the wall. Also, it is great for all pet hair. The side sweepers of Deebot even better – they ensure that the floor along your baseboards is also cleaned and due to its small size it can go under beds and desk where upright vacuums can't reach.

Botvac D3 vs Deebot N79: what's the difference? What really sold me is that Deebot does not lose its connection as often as Botvac. The apps for robots have some nice features on it. They can send me the push notifications when it's stuck or done. It shows how much battery life is left, it also shows when you need to replace the filters and brushes and it shows your scheduled cleaning tasks.
