Samsung POWERbot R7040 vs Neato Botvac D3: Determine the Best

Samsung POWERbot R7040 and Neato Botvac D3 vacuums have much difference between them. Both models belong to the same price class, but despite this fact, Samsung POWERbot R7040 is less powerful compared with Neato Botvac D3. Neato copes with its functions really well but only on the flat smooth surfaces, meanwhile Samsung is designed for carpet cleaning as well.

Samsung POWERbot R7040, as well as Neato Botvac D3, robot vacuum doesn’t impress with its dustbin capacity: there’s only 300ml that is not much at all. However, Neato Botvac D3 suction feature is better than Samsung’s: 1000 Pa versus 800 Pa. Since I’ve tested both devices, I can prove that Neato Botvac D3 copes with cleaning better, picking up more dust, including even pretty big items.

It’s necessary to consider whether a robot is used in a big or small space. If your house is big, I would recommend to use Neato Botvac D3 for cleaning truly large spaces. Comparing with Samsung, which works on 1000 square feet, Neato Botvac D3 covers almost twice the area, in particular, 1800 square feet. Samsung POWERbot R7040 requires more effort and double-charging to cope with an equal-size area. However, it’s perfect for relatively small houses and apartments.

Samsung POWERbot R7040 and Neato Botvac D3 vacuums produce equal 56 dB noise, which can be a bit bothering for people with very sensitive hearing. However, it usually doesn’t prevent from watching TV, reading, or studying. In general, the noise is slightly audible and not annoying.

In terms of carpet cleaning, Samsung POWERbot R7040 exceeds greatly Neato Botvac D3. The point is that Neato Botvac D3 isn’t designed for carpet cleaning at all. Therefore, in case if there are many carpets in a house, the choice should be made in favor of Samsung POWERbot R7040. This model is equipped with large wheels that secure a smooth movement over obstacles and guarantee easy transition from hard floors to the carpets.
