Samsung POWERbot R7040 and Neato Botvac D3 vacuums produce equal 56 dB noise, which can be a bit bothering for people with very sensitive hearing. However, it usually doesn’t prevent from watching TV, reading, or studying. In general, the noise is slightly audible and not annoying.

In terms of carpet cleaning, Samsung POWERbot R7040 exceeds greatly Neato Botvac D3. The point is that Neato Botvac D3 isn’t designed for carpet cleaning at all.
