Roborock S6 vs S6 Pure: Large Space Cleaner vs Budget Cleaner
If you are looking for a robot vacuum cleaner and have narrowed your search down to the Xiaomi Roborock S6 vs S6 Pure, this review will help you make the best choice. Both are great products, but the S6 is better for bigger spaces, while the S6 Pure handles smaller apartments and appeals to budget buyers. As a cheaper alternative to the S6, the latter has fewer features and sensors but retains the efficiency and necessary functions to clean and mop rooms.
Suction and dustbin capacity
When comparing the suction of Roborock S6 vs Roborock S6 Pure, it's hard to notice a difference at first. The two cleaners have a suction power of 2000 Pa, enough to draw dirt, debris, and dust off carpets and hard surfaces. However, the S6 Pure suction power tends to reduce over time.
The difference between the carrying capacity of the dustbins of both robot vacuum cleaners is minimal. With only 20 ml more than the S6 Pure's 460 ml dustbin volume, the S6 edges out; however, I didn't notice any difference in daily use.
Using area
Another difference between the Roborock S6 and S6 Pure comes in usage area. You will notice that the S6 cleans areas in fewer tries than the S6 Pure during use. The latter just can't seem to match the former's efficiency over different surfaces, especially carpets and edges. The S6 and S6 Pure handle smooth surfaces like wooden floors well, taking about three tries to clean a given area thoroughly. However, unlike the S6, when the S6 Pure tries cleaning edges, you will notice some dirt left even after multiple attempts because of its narrow bristles. The S6 Pure makes up for this deficit by having a larger water tank for longer mopping.
Noise level
Comparing the noise levels of Roborock S6 Pure vs S6, you will notice a difference. Generally, the S6 is quieter than the S6 Pure. The former produces about 67dB of noise versus the latter's 58dB.
Carpet cleaning
The Roborock S6 robots are excellent for cleaning carpets with low and mid-length plies. Both cleaners pick up dirt and crumbs while going over the rugs repeatedly. However, the S6 Pure struggles a bit with carpets and leaves finer dirt particles behind after cleaning.

Roborock S6 Pure pros & cons
- You can sync Siri, Google Assistant, and Alexa with the Roborock apps using voice commands.

- The mopping is lackluster because it uses a gravity tank that doesn't push water with much pressure.
