Full cleaning only - DEEBOT N79S
The 1000 square feet and 100 minutes battery life guaranteed makes DEEBOT a robot cleaner that every housewife would like to see at her house. In addition to the relatively small charging time of 3-4 hours, it is a perfect choice for someone who doesn’t want to spend the whole day with manual cleaning and wont to get more time for hobbies.
Deebot N79 Pros & Cons
- Great at house navigation, finds its docking station pretty much every time
- Slim fit – fits under chairs and the bed easily, no need to look for it and find it stuck somewhere
- Single room setting won’t work if you have an open concept flat as there are no doors to close between sections
- The bumper plastic shield can get dirty it and make the vacuum cleaner run into objects at full speed since it can't "see" them longer
Small clever companion - OZMO 601
OZMO 601 is famous for its small size, light-weight and really quiet noise level. Quick charging time (only 3 h) and 3 cleaning stages make it a good choice for someone who lives in a small house and works hard.
ECOVACS OZMO 601 Pros & Cons
- It will go under most furniture and beds. Ease of use. Just fill up the water tank to make the robot into mopping mode
- Scheduling option. The robot can do cleaning on a weekly basis remotely is you program it using the app on the phone
- You have to clean the robot so often. Change the brush, filter, and the mopping cloth in order to keep the machine running
- Can’t climb up and down stairs, need to carry it around the house
Twin competition: DEEBOT N79S vs OZMO 601
Almost identical vacuum cleaners for roughly the same price. As usual, ECOVACS’ models have excellent quality and the 1-year warranty, so you shouldn’t be afraid of something breaks after a few months. However, there is no point in having two robot vacuum cleaners at your house, which means we have to do a challenge: ECOVACS OZMO 601 vs ECOVACS DEEBOT N79S.
The biggest difference between the two is suction. DEEBOT N79S has a great 1000pa suction compare to only 550 pa of OZMO 601. You will say that bigger suction – the greater is the vacuum cleaner, however, think about the situation where there can be a lot of child’s little toys on the floor. I doubt you want to have a look for them in the bin bag, right?
Noise level. OZMO 601 is a little bit quieter than DEEBOT. The just 2dB difference that doesn’t really matter this much makes the choice OZMO 601 or DEEBOT N79S based on personal preferences and criteria we will have a look at further on.
Power consumption. DEEBOT N79S will pleasantly surprise you as it uses 100-120V only and has a larger suction than OZMO 601 which consumes 100-240V but no way as near in terms of suction. Comparing one versus another, especially if you have a big house with a lot of electronic devices, I advise to choosing DEEBOT N79S.
Size and weight. ECOVACS DEEBOT N79S or ECOVACS OZMO 601? Here the obvious choice is OZMO 601. Quite a low height (3.1 inches) guarantees it won’t be stuck under the sofa and will need rescuing, lightweight (only 6.7 pounds) that allows carrying it easily if there is a need to do so.
