iRobot Roomba i7 review

I’ve posted the Roomba i7 review to present the in-depth description of a Wi-Fi capable robotic vacuum with 3 cleaning stages. Its suction power of 1,800 Pa and 60 minutes of battery life provi...
Read moreWe have compared Roomba i3 vs i7 cleaners to help you make the best choice. They both are circular-shaped robotic vacuum cleaners that smartly navigate through your room, have a charge & resume function, can be controlled via the iRobot app on your smartphone, and work with voice assistants. However, the i7 is a slightly more advanced and expensive option versus the i3.
It doesn’t make sense to compare Roomba i7 vs i3 suction power as both models have a common indicator: 1800 Pa. It appeared to be enough to suck in most types of contaminations (cereals, dust, hair, etc.), but the vacs aren’t very effective against ingrained dirt.
The next comparison point of this i3 vs i7 Roomba review is also similar in both models — these Roombas come with a 500ml dustbin. This should be enough to clean two medium-sized rooms without emptying them. However, if you have concerns about that, both of the cleaners are compatible with auto-emptying docking stations (sold separately) that will allow you to forget about dustbin emptying for weeks.
The batteries in both of the reviewed models can last up to 75 minutes (the actual running time depends on the type of surface to be cleaned). This means that they can clean up an area of 2000 – 2500 sq ft.
The main difference between Roomba i3 and i7 lies in their navigation ability. The i7 comes equipped with a camera. This camera allows the vac to create an accurate map of the cleaning area, spot furniture and other objects, and provide smarter cleaning. The i3, in its term, may bump into objects on its way as it doesn’t know their location in advance. This model moves in a preset pattern (straight lines). Special floor-tracking sensors keep it away from zones that the robot has already cleaned.
Comparing iRobot i3 vs i7 noise level, we’ve come to the conclusion that both of the compared models work quietly. The i7 showed the result of 62 dB, and the i3 showed 60 dB. So, the noise won’t annoy you even if cleaners will be running for a prolonged period.
In this i7 vs i3 Roomba carpet cleaning performance comparison, it is important to note that all versions come with the same rubber multi-surface brushrolls. They are able to effectively pick up both long and short hair embedded in the carpet pile. These brushrolls are flexible and easily adjust to the carpet’s height. They stick to the carpet’s surface and clean up both large and tiny, non-visible particles.
