The ILIFE V8s is a powerful robot vacuum for both wet and dry cleaning on various surfaces, including rugs. This entry-level model has a remote control and enough cleaning modes to ensure thorough cleaning in rooms with different layouts.
12.9 inches in diameter and 3.14 inches high, that is suitable for low furniture. The device weighs just 5.9 pounds. It features a large dirt collector of 750 ml and a water tank of 300 ml. The latter is small which is typical for robot mops.
The ILIFE V8s has the Gen 3 CyclonePower system and the enhanced suction inlet that increase power and let the unit adjust to different types of floors except for the dark-colored surfaces. It is also ineffective on thick carpets. This model senses the stairs and stops immediately to avoid falling down them. Its long-lasting battery allows an hour-and-a-half operating even at full capacity.
The ILIFE V8s robot vacuum cleaner is designed for both hard floors and carpets. The machine comes with several operating modes. The robot cleans the specific area in the Point mode, removing spots and old dirt. It copes with the areas along the walls due to the Border mode. The Path mode cleans dust and debris in the whole space and lets the robot return to its home base. Note that the V8s leaves some pieces and particles in the corners like many other circular models.
In my ILIFE V8s review, I can’t help but mention the robot’s Mopping mode developed for wet cleaning that, in turn, has low, middle, and high levels. It lacks multi-room cleaning, so, the users should manually move the device to another room and add water before they initiate cleaning. Bear in mind to switch the unit to the dry-cleaning mode to use it on rugs and note that the machine is not designed for simultaneous mopping and sweeping.
It’s possible to direct the machine via a remote, as well as to increase the suction level (Max mode) for more thorough cleaning on the carpets. The details of each level and other settings are described in the ILIFE V8s manual.
It’s a round-shaped model with the anti-drop sensors underneath and a bumper on the front that helps the unit navigate around the room and avoid the device’s damage when it runs into the obstacles. The LCD display on the faceplate allows setting the time and schedule. The Clean/Pause button manually initiates/stops cleaning, and the Path button lets the robot make passes to remove dirt.
There are a couple of rotating brushes on the sides of the machine to collect dirt in the rooms, including corners and the areas along the walls.
The dust collector has a primary filter, a sponge, and the High Effective filter. The water tank has the reusable pads. The dock station, remote control, water tank, and mopping attachments are in the package, as well as an adapter to power the device directly from the socket.
At the end of the ILIFE V8s robot vacuum review, I would like to stress the robot’s ability to remove 100% of animal fur and dirt due to its enhanced power suction and the opportunity to clean the entire area of the room without emptying the collector. The mopping feature is a great benefit for those having sensitive to water accumulation flooring.
