The Roomba i6+ is a smart robot vacuum with branded Aero-Force — a 3-step cleaning system. It has quite a modest suction power of 1,800 Pa and a running time of just 75 minutes. At the same time, lots of advancements and the vacuum’s versatility make up for these disadvantages.
Dimensions
The product size is 13.3 x 13.3 inches. So, the robot is quite small in diameter, but the user should consider the furniture’s clearance, given its height of 3.63 inches. The vacuum is portable, weighing 7.4 pounds, like other models from the series. The dust container is small since its capacity is only 500 ml. It can be enough for everyday cleaning of a single small or medium-sized room.
The Clean Base is 19 inches tall, 15.1 inches deep, and 12.2 inches high. The base may seem bulky, but such dimensions provide its great suction power to remove 100% of dirt from the dustbin.

It “explores” the layout, remembers it, and then makes precise passes in a row instead of random movements. It’s possible to edit the map, depending on the interior, add or remove cleaning and restricted zones. For this purpose, it’s necessary to download the dedicated mobile app. It also allows managing the robot remotely, scheduling it for cleaning on a specific day and time. Moreover, there is an opportunity to set different cleaning time for each day of the week. Voice control is possible through Amazon Alexa.
The Aero-Force tech ensures flawless cleaning of hard floors and carpets with low and medium piles. The HEPA filtered bin is capable of trapping allergens, making vacuuming safe for people with different respiratory diseases. This model produces no distracting noise, allowing people at home to run all of their activities. The noise is getting louder when the vacuum releases its garbage into the Clean Base’s container.
Design
The round-shaped Roomba i6+ has 3 control buttons on its glossy black faceplate. The largest one is to start cleaning. The Home button, on the left, sends the vacuum to the base. The Spot button, on the right, activates the mode to remove heavy dirt.
The robot has a single spinning brush at the bottom with relatively short bristles. The latter makes it challenging to remove dirt from the corners. Dual rotating extractors in the center are made of durable rubber and break down any dirt and debris. Their design gets the users rid of cleaning it from the pet hair.
Unfortunately, this model’s package doesn’t include extra brushes and a virtual wall.
