The Eufy 11S review calls attention to a powerful but at the same time quiet vacuum. This budget model comes without smart techs, but it’s very easy to use and adjust via a remote control. The robot has all the most important modes to remove dirt from any surface either in a single room or in the whole house.
Its height is just 2.85 inches that’s why the users might not worry about the cleaning under the furniture. Such a low-profile gadget goes under any beds, arm-chairs, wardrobes, etc. The device is rather small in diameter too (12.8 inches). It’s also extremely lightweight (5.73 pounds) so, even a child can move it around if necessary.
The Eufy 11S is very efficient at getting most dirt, debris, and pet hair up out of carpets, tile, and hardwood floors since it features a suction power of 1,300 pa and a Triple-Filter system. The device is able to pick up both small and large debris (cereal, dry dog food, etc.) on the first pass. The Eufy BoostIQ RoboVac 11S has a brand tech that automatically increases the suction strength if the robot should handle more dirt or clean rugs.
It doesn’t scratch floors and features a good transition to the carpets. The robot copes with low and medium pile covering but a shag rug will stop it. It works smoothly on the soft surfaces without living footprints while cleaning.
This model lacks mapping technology, but it goes over the same areas several times. The vacuum changes directions when encounters obstacles and works in a back-and-forth, straight-line pattern. As a result, after a 100-minute run, it covers almost all accessible areas and removes dirt completely.
The Eufy 11S comes with an edge-cleaning mode and can remove a particular spot. The modes should be set via a remote. The remote control also helps set a schedule to make it auto-start at a specific time every day/night. One should note that this model fails to identify the edge stairs in the darkness. It uses IR sensors to detect barriers and identifies black floors as cliffs. Nevertheless, the 11S handles dark surfaces, but it bumps more into things.
When used in Auto mode (the regular cleaning mode that is also used for scheduled daily cleaning) the robot starts searching for the dock station when the battery gets low. It’s possible to opt for a Single room mode if it’s necessary to make the unit focus only on one room.
The RoboVac is guided by the percentage of the remaining battery rather than a timer to specify the end of cleaning. According to the Eufy RoboVac 11S manual, the base requires open space to work (3 feet on each side and 6 feet in front). It also can be installed on an uneven surface (a brick tile floor, for example).
The unit is not Wi-Fi compatible and cannot be connected to the smartphone or work via a dedicated app. It has neither a virtual wall option nor magnetic strips for restricted areas.
The dustbin capacity is large (600 ml) but whether it’s full or not after work, it’s crucial to empty the container after every run, as well as to clean the brushes and filter. The device works very quietly on both hard floors and carpets.
This model is round-shaped and it has durable bumpers along the perimeter. The auto cleaning Start/Stop button is on the top of the device. The vacuum has a sticker on the bottom so if it stops and beeps (the number of beeps has its own meaning), one can flip it over and identify the reason for beeping.
There is an LED light on the cabinet light up in blue when the unit is powered. The LED indication becomes orange when the robot is discharged and it flashes red in the case of error.
The robot comes with 4 side brushes, charging base, extra foam and high-performance filters, cleaning tool, power adapter, and Eufy 11S manual in the box.
The lack of the robot’s smart techs compensates for its ability to keep the floors and carpets absolutely clean. The Eufy BoostIQ RoboVac 11S (Slim) is a good solution for users that have kids and pets at home, as it’s able to remove hair, remains of food, and large crumbs. Lightweight design and easy control allow everyone to handle its managing and maintenance.
