Design
In my iRobot Roomba e5 review, I’d like to note attractive and, at the same time, well-thought design. It is made of ABS plastic with a black matte finish and glossy accents on the vacuum's top. The dustbin seems to be durable since it is partially made of hard plastic.
There is a handle and three buttons on the top to initiate the cleaning session, send the vacuum back to the base, and activate the Spot cleaning mode. The bottom of this unit features navigation sensors, a side brush, and two rubber rollers that rotate close together to suck the dirt without tangling. The side brush is a bit challenging to take away since the process needs a screwdriver.
The dust container is on the side. It’s easy to remove and open via a push of a button. One can also rinse it with tap water. However, don’t forget to remove the filter since it’s not washable.
The unit comes with a couple of extras, namely a docking station and a virtual wall.
