続きを読むComparing Roomba E5 vs 890, I was able to ensure that, despite their low prices, neither model sacrifices advanced cleaning features. These vacuums are from different series, but they're both from iRobot's popular Roomba line. In this way, their features don't differ significantly: they have a disk-shaped design with a minimum number of onboard buttons, house a high-efficiency filter inside, offer a self-charging feature, can be controlled via an iRobot Home app, work with Alexa, etc. However, the E5 is a slightly newer, more advanced but more pricey model.
The 890 has an average suction power of 1000 Pa. With 1700 Pa, the E5 can create a much stronger airflow, sucking in larger particles as well as more dust and other contaminants. In terms of dustbin capacity, the E5 appears to be superior in this regard as well: 300 ml versus 500 ml.
In the Roomba 890 vs E5 using area battle, the E5 comes out on top. Being able to clean up a floor space of 2100 square feet, it's definitely suitable for large rooms. However, if you own a small house, the 890 with its 1000 square feet maximum use area will probably suffice.
Comparing Roomba E5 vs Roomba 890 operating sounds, it should be noted that both units make an audible noise while running. The E5's noise level of 65 dB may be enough to frighten your pet. The 890 is noticeably quieter (58 dB).
Both of the compared units employ rubberized brushless extractors. To compare, extractors are more effective in carpet cleaning than standard brushes (basing on my experience with testing other vacuum cleaners). So, in this regard, both of these models outperform many of their analogs. However, comparing Roomba E5 vs 890 for pet hair, I've noticed that the E5 deals better with extracting an ingrained fur from carpet piles.
