The idea of posting the Tesvor x500 review was born out of the desire to share a mid-range but rather a practical device’s test results. It is about a smart Wi-Fi-capable robotic vacuum with a dedicated app for iOS and Android-based mobiles to make the necessary settings, Google Home, and Alexa compatibility to give voice commands.
Being 13 inches across and 2.9 inches in height, this unit is really portable and low profile. It slides under the beds, wardrobes, etc. effortlessly regardless of their clearance. However, it’s a bit heavy, weighing 10.73 pounds. The dust collector’s capacity of 600ml requires frequent emptying.
The robot runs up to 100 minutes on laminate or hardwood floors, cleaning a space up to 1,600 sq. ft., reaching the peak suction power of 1.500Pa. The One-Key Planning tech based on gyroscope sensors helps the device save real-time routes in its memory and cover all the dirty spaces intelligently, using the S-shape passes. Strong suction can be five times more powerful to remove heavy dirt from bare surfaces, fur, and debris from carpets. The inline HEPA Tesvor x500 filter traps harmful particles regardless of the chosen mode.
The unit can work in Smart, Spot, and Edge modes to make general cleaning, remove spots, and move along the walls, respectively. The Tesvor x500 manual discloses all the details to set time and schedule cleaning correctly.
The vac produces low noise until it starts climbing thick and medium-pile carpets. There, it becomes very loud, increases the suction power, and loses the charge very quickly. It’s possible to schedule this model for regular cleaning, using the remote control. Still, consider resetting the timer if the vacuum has been turned off. You can also schedule the device using the mobile Tesvor x500 app, as well as initiate cleaning, change the speed of the fan, send it to different directions or to the dock station.
The horizontal detection tech prevents it from falling down the stars. The x500 hops over thresholds up to 0.63 inches between bare floor and rugs without any issues. Note that it recognizes dark-colored covering as cliffs and doesn’t clean them. This vacuum moves around obstacles well without constant bumping. However, it sometimes bounces around while looking for the dock station.
The Tesvor x500 has a simple design, having no digital display but only a Start/Pause button on the top. It’s solid green in a standby or cleaning mode, and when the battery is full. The light starts blinking when the user configures the mode. It becomes orange while charging and red when something is wrong with the vacuum.
It’s fitted with two side sweepers that are impressively long and reach most of the corners in the room. The dust collector is on the side of the unit. The V-shape dual rolling brush has rubber blades and a bristle to pick up various types of dirt. There are spare brushes, filters, remote control, and a cleaning tool in the package.
The Tesvor x500 is ideal for bare floors and low-pile coverings in a one-story house or apartment. It also caters to the needs of pet owners, eliminating 100% of hair. The robot’s ability to create a map provides efficient paths, but too contaminated rooms will make the user empty the dust box several times per session. Voice control will be a catch for those having no time for manual management.
